Alternate Policy

Alternate Players will be allowed to play on MYHA Travel Teams under the following conditions.

1. Requests for alternate player status must be submitted in writing by a parent or guardian using the MYHA registration process.
2. Each team may only have a maximum of two alternate players on their roster.
3. Special circumstances can be considered, reviewed and voted on by the Board of Directors.
4. The cost of being an alternate on a travel team is $1,050 for a skater and $250 for a goalie.
5. There will be NO REFUNDS for alternate players if they decide to leave during the season.
6. If an alternate player at any point during the season decides to become a full-time player their payment will be updated to reflect the full dues of that player's team level, minus any alternate payments already made.
7. Alternate players are required to attend at least one team practice or skills session per week to be eligible to play in their team’s game that week. Special circumstances—such as those listed below—may be considered at the head coach’s discretion:

10. Alternate Players will be eligible for tournaments at the Head Coaches discretion.
11. To be eligible for playoffs, Alternate Players must have played in at least 60% of the team's games.
